Should your surveillance system need some additional storage, WD My Book AV DVR Expanders and My Passport AV portable media drives are an excellent solution. These external storage devices are equipped with the very same AV-class WD hard drives designed for 24×7 recording of audio/video fles. These drives stay cool, use less power, and deliver optimized streaming for smooth video playback. The My Passport AV portable drive connects and is powered via the set-top box USB port while the My Book AV drive connects via either a USB or eSATA port and has its own power supply
